Moving South Again

We woke up to yet another morning of cold rain in the tent.  Right now, we'd give a lot for just one solid stretch of solid sunny weather.  We can't complain much though, the sun has come out most days which has been a blessing for taking pictures.  Which we've taken about a thousand of (literally, close to that).

Anyway, we are working our way down Hwy 1 right now and have stopped in Mendocino for lunch and the sights.  You think you don't know Mendocino, oh but you do.  It's the town where the filmed Murder She Wrote.  So yeah, it's kind of famous.  It's kind of nice too.  It's like a much more laid back version of Carmel.

Tonight, we are planning to make it down to the Marin Headlands / Point Reyes area.  More rain is in the forecast, but there is little we can do about that... yet.

Above: Us in front of the "Giant Tree."  Considered to be the biggest redwood overall by height and circumference. 

Above: One of the many roadside redwood-chainsaw art stands.  It had a life size Shrek too.  It's a saturated market.
